The average net salary in Romania for September 2019, according to official statistics, is 3,082 lei (about 648 euros), an increase of 38 lei compared to the previous month. The highest salaries are paid to employees in the information technology sector - 7,108 lei (about 1,494 euros). But what are the other sectors with salaries over 1,000 euros?

In second place in terms of the highest salaries, after the IT sector, are employees in the extractive sector (oil and natural gas) with an average net salary of 7018 lei (1475 euros). Top 3 is supplemented by the coal mining sector - 6839 lei (1437 euros).

In Bulgaria, the average gross salary for September is BGN 1,266, according to data from the National Statistical Institute. In the third quarter of 2019 it was BGN 1,249 and decreased by 0.9% compared to the previous three months.

The economic activities with the highest average monthly salaries in July, August and September are: "Creation and dissemination of information and creative products; telecommunications" - BGN 2,988; "Production and distribution of electricity and heat and gaseous fuels" - BGN 1,980; "Financial and insurance activities" - BGN 1,973.

The lowest paid were the employees in the economic activities "Hotels and restaurants" - BGN 782; "Other activities" - BGN 912; "Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities" - BGN 991.
