Questions related to the transfer of insurance rights after work abroad and how to guarantee their health insurance upon return were among the most frequently asked during the information meetings in Pernik, Vidin, Svishtov and Gotse Delchev. They were organized in the period 20 - 24 September 2021 by the Employment Agency, together with the EURES network in our country, as part of the Week of the campaign "Rights in all seasons", declared European Union Week for seasonal workers. At the meetings, more than 230 people sought information about their labor and social security rights and had the opportunity to receive answers from the competent institutions in the form of the Employment Agency, the Labor Inspectorate, the National Social Security Institute and the National Revenue Agency. Representatives of the non-governmental organization A21 also took part, whose activities are aimed at preventing human trafficking, which can be based on an attractive job advertisement.
The experts of the Labor Inspectorate reminded the information seekers that mobile workers are entitled to at least equal working conditions and pay with their colleagues from the host Member State of the European Union. They warned those wishing to work abroad not to agree to leave without having in writing, in a language they understand, agreed working and accommodation conditions, as well as information about the local employer where they will work.
Useful information about the labor rights and obligations of mobile workers is published on the website of the Labor Inspectorate, which is a major partner of the Employment Agency in the campaign "Rights in all seasons". The information can be found in the section "For employers and employees", in the sections "Work of Bulgarian citizens abroad" and "Intermediary employment". Information is periodically disseminated to the media with reminders of the main indications for possible fraud in job offers, as well as what documents are needed by people before departure to protect as much as possible their rights in case of a problem https: / /www.gli.government.bg/bg/node/11419
